Featured Artist: Tracy Glover
In my opinion, Tracy Glover is America's own 21st. Century Dino Martens. At her studio in Rhode Island she produces some of the most beautiful blown glass lighting fixtures from any century. The bio page on her website says; With a degree from the renowned Rhode Island School of Design and an inextinguishable passion for expression, Tracy Glover's path has taken her across the world. From Switzerland to Seattle, from Manhattan to Murano, Italy, this bold innovator has patiently crafted her signature elegance - marked by understated drama and shimmering dimension. Stirred by the rich history of Italian glass-blowing techniques, Tracy Glover is energized by modern influences as well. It is her honor to have been selected as the first female glassblower at Val Saint Lambert Crystal factory in Belgium, a revered facility nestled in a 14th century convent. A world away, both literally and figuratively, her creations are sprinkled like jewels in the Star Tower Corridor and the Baccarat Room at the famed Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Her table, floor, and ceiling lamps can be purchased at many high end stores in the U.S. and Canada such as Barneys, Bliss Home, and The Artful Hand.
